About This Site

Finding an arrest release, booking record, or photograph in Washington County can require different official sources depending on whether a person is newly arrested, currently held, sentenced to state custody, or already before a court. Washington County Busted Mugshots organizes those official paths in one reference site. It does not publish a photo gallery or keep copies of booking records.

Why This Resource Exists

Washington County information is distributed across agencies and systems. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office publishes some Recent Arrests releases and maintains county jail records, while the jail telephone line is the appropriate route for a current-custody question. The New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, or DOCCS, has a separate finder for people in state custody. Courts, not arrest releases, hold the final case outcome. This site brings those distinct official routes, their limits, and the County FOIL request process together without claiming to be an official record source.

What the Site Covers

The main guides focus on where Washington County information is actually maintained and on the difference between an allegation at booking and a later court disposition.

  • The home page explains official recent-arrest releases, the Washington County Jail custody route, and targeted records requests.
  • The Most Wanted Fugitives page explains the official warrant-check path without treating a listing as proof of guilt.
  • City guides for Kingsbury Busted Mugshots, Granville Busted Mugshots, and Fort Edward Busted Mugshots distinguish local reporting routes from county custody records.
  • The site explains how a focused FOIL request can seek a Washington County record, including the privacy limits that may affect a photograph or other material.

What We Cannot Do

Washington County Busted Mugshots is privately operated. It is not connected with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Washington County Jail, DOCCS, any court, or any local, state, or federal agency.

  • We cannot place, release, transfer, or otherwise manage someone in custody.
  • We cannot post bail, arrange visits, or send funds for a visitor.
  • We do not give legal advice or decide what a court record means.
  • We cannot promise that an agency’s number, fee, schedule, or published material has not changed.

Only the appropriate official office can confirm current custody, a release decision, charges, or the availability of a government record. Booking allegations are not convictions, and every person is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.

Search Partners

Some pages may include tools operated by third-party search providers. Those providers set their own results, data practices, and pricing. If a partner tool leads to a paid enrollment, this site may receive a referral fee that helps support the free reference material, but that possibility does not give us control over the provider or its output.
